Monthly Program with Jean Mohler Sidinger

  • Idaho Fish and Game 600 South Walnut Street Boise, ID, 83712 United States (map)

Jean Mohler Sidinger will share memories and stories about her father, Levi L. Mohler who, along with Al Larson, founded the Golden Eagle Audubon Society. Her birding experiences began in the late 1940s when she accompanied her father on field trips and found bird skins a normal part of her upbringing. Levi was involved with wildlife both vocationally and avocationally, including serving as Chief of Wildlife Management and later, Director of Research for the Idaho Fish and Game Department. Jean also will be reading from and signing her memoir, In Search of the Owl ($15.95), which is a tribute to her father and the continuation of a legacy of love of and respect for nature. In Sidinger’s book Boise’s Hulls Gulch Reserve plays a key role.

The program will also include bird games and getting acquainted. Everyone is welcome to attend!
