Member Camping Trip in Payette National Forest

Join us at the Cold Springs Group Campground in the Payette National Forest near Council. We’ve reserved the group site, so you’re set. The campground is set in an open meadow lined with ponderosa pines and fir trees at an elevation of 5,000 feet. Summer wildflowers are abundant. Lost Valley Reservoir is just 3/4-mile from the campground, offering boating, canoeing and fishing opportunities. On the north end of the reservoir is the Lost Creek Interpretive Site, an excellent location for bird watching. Tent and a few trailer sites are available at the group site we’ve reserved.

You get 3 days of guided birding, group dinners with Golden Eagle Audubon providing some of the food and the cooking gear, campfire talks, and plenty of time to relax and enjoy spring time in the mountains.

Adult price is $100, youth is $25.
