Golden Eagle Audubon Society is a sponsor of the Sagebrush-Steppe Chapter along with the Idaho Fish and Game MK Nature Center and Bogus Basin Recreation Area. We love helping educate Master Naturalists and we provide many volunteer opportunities.
The Idaho Master Naturalist Program aims to develop a corps of well-informed volunteers to actively work toward stewardship of Idaho’s natural environment. Any adult who enjoys nature and is interested in learning more can become a Master Naturalist.
Master Naturalists receive 40 hours of education and earn certification by volunteering 40 hours of their time over the course of a year. Idaho Master Naturalists volunteer by leading field trips, growing and planting native plants, educating the public—the list is endless! In 2026, classes will be held Wednesday mornings from 9:30-12:30 at the MK Nature Center starting in January and ending in May.
Registration is open. The class will fill quickly.
